About the work:

The young girl runs from the theoretical into the real world. Her movement slows her time, and the viewer has stopped it altogether, in this moment of perception. This mixed media piece explores Einstein’s Theory of Special Relativity and features engravings of Einstein’s equation for time dilation.

This artwork has been juried into numerous exhibitions throughout the greater Washington, D.C. area, winning second place at the Delaplaine National Juried Exhibition, Juror’s Choice at the Maryland Federation of Art’s Strokes of Genius exhibition, Popular Choice at the Washington County Museum of Fine Art’s Cumberland Valley Artists Exhibition, and People’s Choice at the Washington County Arts Council’s Best of Local Art exhibition.
